About Dillon Goodman, CFP®, CPA
Hi, I'm Dillon Goodman, Financial Advisor and CPA at Vital Investment Management, where I lead the firm’s work with small business owners and entrepreneurs.I am a CPA and CFP® professional who can sit in a business owner’s numbers without needing a translator. I work with clients throughout Northern Colorado, including Fort Collins, Greeley, and Windsor, from our office in Loveland. For most of the owners I work with, cash flow is uneven, most of their net worth is still inside the company, and the exit is a conversation they keep postponing.
I came to advisory the long way: through the books. I earned my accounting degrees at Brigham Young University and Idaho State University, then worked at Deloitte and in private accounting practice, where I saw the operating rhythm of closely held businesses from the inside and learned what business owners need from a financial advisor. They need someone who understands entity structure, cash, estimated taxes, K-1s, buy-sell language, and working capital, and who knows why a strong personal financial plan can fail when the company has a tight quarter. I lead this practice so owners can work with an advisor who already understands their P&L.
My role is to make the personal and business sides talk to each other. That means one coordinated plan for compensation, taxes, savings, and the life the owner is trying to fund; a portfolio designed around concentration risk and liquidity; and a realistic path from “someday” to a transition the owner can live with.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing basketball and spending time with my wife and our two daughters.

About Vital Investment Management
Vital Investment Management is a local, independently owned, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor based in Loveland, Colorado.Who We Serve
We work with established business owners who are building the value of their business or planning their exit. Many have most of what they own tied up in the business, including the company, the building, and the book of business, and want one firm that can plan for the company, the household, and the handoff together.
How We Work
Vital Investment Management is a local, independent, fee-only fiduciary firm formed in Colorado in 2019, and investment and planning decisions are made in Loveland. Our process follows four steps:
1. Discovery Call: A conversation about the business, the household, and the pressures the owner is under.
2. Deep Dive Planning: Over two to four weeks, we gather entity structure, cash, tax estimates, personal statements, and ownership documents into one view of priorities, gaps, and recommendations.
3. Implementation: Work is paced to the business so the company is not disrupted, with introductions to counsel or the client’s CPA when needed.
4. Ongoing Partnership: Quarterly reviews, rebalancing, and plan updates as the business changes.
What Clients Can Expect
Our work covers treasury and cash management, investment management, comprehensive financial planning, business transition and exit planning, and estate and succession planning. Clients receive specific recommendations, a named owner for each action, and a written record of why each decision was made. Clients always know the next step, who owns it, and why it matters.
Vital Investment Management is an SEC-registered investment adviser. There are no minimums to work with the firm.

Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
